Terms & Conditions

By registering for a course with NZ Doula College you accept the following terms and conditions.

In these terms and conditions, ‘we’ means NZ Doula College, and ‘you’ means the customer/massage student/booker/course attendee.


Course Fees and Payment

  • A $300 non-refundable registration fee is required for all course bookings. You must tell us on your registration form how you would like to pay the remaining balance.


Pay In Full

  • If you choose to pay the remaining balance of your course in full, payment must be received within 30 days of the start of your course.

  • An exception to this is if your booking is made less than 30 days before the start of your course. In this case, full payment must be made at time of booking, via the payment link we share with you.


Payment Plan

  • Payment plans request 8 equal payment instalments every 2 weeks.

  • Each instalment needs to be paid within 5 working days of receiving the payment request.

  • Payment of the final installment must be received before your course starts unless you have discussed that with us.

  • We reserve the right to refuse entry to the course if your fees aren’t paid within the above timeframes except in cases where this has been agreed in advance.

  • We strive to support every woman who feels an inner calling to this role.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • If you need to cancel your registration, you must inform us by email to be eligible for a refund - bellesalternativehealth@gmail.com

  • The $300 registration fee to secure your spot is non-refundable.

  • If you are unable to participate in the training you enrolled in due to personal circumstances, we will make reasonable efforts to allow your credit to be used toward a future course, subject to availability and our discretion. Your credit will be valid for 12 months.

  • If you cancel your registration 30 or more days before the start of the course, you are entitled to a 50% refund of your course fee, excluding the $300 registration fee.

  • If you cancel your registration within 30 days before the start of your course, there will be no refund.

  • We will offer you the option of a course credit to transfer your registration to an alternative course with us. This credit will be valid for 12 months. We won’t be held responsible if the dates or locations of alternative courses aren’t convenient for you.

  • There is no refund for no-shows or if you haven’t informed us of your cancellation by email.

  • Refunds will be processed within 30 days of the original request.

  • The refund policy applies for the full course, not for individual blocks.

  • If, in the days leading up to your course, you experience symptoms of flu, COVID-19, or any other contagious illness, you must notify us prior to arrival. Participants who are unwell will not be permitted to attend the course. In such cases, we will make our best efforts to allow your credit to be applied toward a future course.

  • If you become unwell during the course and develop symptoms of flu, COVID-19, or any other contagious illness, your continued participation will be reviewed and discussed with you, and available options will be determined at our discretion.

Cancelled Courses (cancelled by NZ Doula College)

  • Whilst it is not our preference, we reserve the right to cancel a course for any reason. In the rare event this happens we will reimburse in full any course fees paid, including the $300 registration fee. Our liability will be limited to the value of the course fees paid and won’t cover additional expenses that you may have incurred.

Gaining Your Doula Certification

  • It is mandatory to attend at least 90% of the classes to earn your Doula Certificate. If you are unable to attend some classes, you will be given the option to complete lessons in future courses. You are also able to attend future courses if you require a refresher for certain elements of the course. Your teacher will discuss this with you.

  • If you requested a slow payment plan, we are happy to support you but your certificate will be given to you once you complete your payments.


Program Adjustments

  • The college keeps the right to do changes in the training program from any possible reason .

  • The college will do its best to compensate when one of the lectures is unable to perform in a certain intake.

Health and Safety

  • Participants may be asked to disclose relevant physical, medical, or mental health conditions at the time of registration to allow us to prepare appropriately and support participation. All information provided will be treated confidentially and used solely for health, safety, and course preparation purposes.

  • Failure to disclose relevant conditions that may affect participation or safety may limit our ability to accommodate the participant and may result in restricted participation.

Personal Data and Images

  • Any personal data or information supplied by you as part of your course registration will be treated in line with the Privacy Act 2020.

  • We reserve the right to use any course feedback or testimonials given by you on our website, social media platforms, and other promotional material.

  • We will ask for your permission for any filming or photography that might be done during your course for promotional purposes. You will be able to opt-out of this with no discrimination.

Accomodation at the Course Venue

  • In order to support students that are traveling from far to attend the course, we are offering the option of staying in shared rooms or Marae style with no extra cost.

  • We offer accommodations in beautiful venues that has well- equipped Kitchen , bathrooms and everything required for your comfortable stay.

  • This gesture is to support the students. If students don’t find the accomodation in the venue convenient for their needs, it is their responsibility to find other accommodations in the area.

  • Students are required to keep the venue clean and tidy at all times.

  • On the final day of the course, students must clean the venue thoroughly and take with them any remaining recycling or rubbish.

  • Participants must respect all venue rules.

  • Any student who displays disrespectful behavior toward other students or course facilitators will be asked to leave. In such cases, no refund will be issued, and the student will not be eligible to receive a certificate.

  • *The price for the course stays the same with or without using the accomodation option.

  • Please note that we have a calm loving dog in the venue so please inform us if you uncomfortable with that.
